Sela is a product of WestbrookHaven Corp, a Delaware corporation ("WestbrookHaven Corp," "we," "us," or "our"). Sela is a caregiving management application accessible at https://getsela.app and https://app.getsela.app (collectively, the "Site" and "App").
This Privacy Policy describes how Sela collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with your use of the Site and App. By accessing or using the Site or App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site and App.

Sela collects two distinct categories of information, which are treated fundamentally differently based on where they are stored and how they are processed.
All information you enter into the Sela app — including but not limited to caregiver profiles, patient profiles, medication records, appointment information, vital sign logs, pain and symptom records, care notes, and any other health-related or personal information — is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage on your device. This data is never transmitted to any Sela server, never stored in any Sela database, and is not accessible to Sela or any third party.
Because this data never leaves your device, Sela has no ability to retrieve, review, sell, share, or otherwise process it. The privacy protections for this data are architectural, not merely policy-based.
Important limitation: Because app data is stored in your browser's local storage, it will be permanently lost if you clear your browser data, uninstall your browser, or switch to a different browser or device. Sela cannot recover locally stored data under any circumstances.
When you interact with the Sela website or submit information through our waitlist or contact forms, we may collect limited personal information, as described in the table below.

We do not collect any health information, patient information, or care-related data through the Site. All such data, as described in Section 3a, exists only on your device.
Sela uses the limited site and waitlist data we collect solely for the following purposes:
We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, targeted marketing, data profiling, or any purpose other than those listed above. We do not sell your information. We do not rent your information.
Sela uses a limited number of third-party service providers in connection with operating the Site and App. These providers have access only to the specific data necessary to perform their designated functions. No health data, patient data, or app data is ever transmitted to or accessible by any third-party provider.
Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery network (CDN) services, and serverless infrastructure for the Site and App. Cloudflare may automatically collect standard network data such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and browser identifiers in order to deliver site content, protect against abuse, and provide performance analytics. This data is processed in accordance with Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Cloudflare does not have access to any data you enter into the Sela app.
Resend is our transactional email delivery provider. When you submit your email address to the Sela waitlist or contact form, that email address is processed by Resend solely for the purpose of delivering communications from Sela to you. Resend does not use your email address for any independent marketing or data purposes. Email delivery is governed by Resend's Privacy Policy.
PostHog is our product analytics provider. Sela uses PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how the app is used — for example, which features are opened and what actions are taken. PostHog events contain no health data, no patient data, no names, and no personally identifiable information. All PostHog data is collected and stored in the United States on PostHog Cloud US infrastructure. Analytics data is used solely to understand product usage and improve Sela. PostHog's data practices are governed by PostHog's Privacy Policy.
Sela does not use advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or any other data collection services beyond those listed above. We do not share, sell, or disclose your information to any third party except as described in this Section or as required by law.
The Sela Site does not use cookies for advertising, behavioral tracking, or user profiling of any kind.
Cloudflare, as our infrastructure provider, may set limited technical cookies necessary for network performance, security, and bot mitigation (e.g., the __cf_bm cookie). These cookies are functional in nature and are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. They do not track your identity across websites or associate site activity with any personal profile.
The Sela app uses browser local storage (not cookies) to retain data you enter between sessions. This local storage is specific to your browser and device and is not accessible to Sela or any third party.
You may configure your browser to decline or delete cookies at any time. Disabling cookies may limit certain security features of the Site but will not affect your ability to use the Sela app.
Sela employs the following measures to protect information in our possession:
Because Sela does not store app data on any server, there is no Sela-controlled database of health or care information that could be breached, subpoenaed, sold, or otherwise compromised. The security of locally stored app data is the responsibility of the user and depends on the security of the device and browser in use.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect the information we do hold, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Sela retains no app data whatsoever. App data exists solely in your browser's local storage and persists only as long as you do not clear your browser data. It is permanently deleted when you clear site data, reset the app using the in-app reset function, or clear your browser's local storage.
Email addresses and names submitted through the waitlist or contact forms are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were submitted — primarily, to notify you of relevant Sela updates. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us at the address provided in Section 14. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time and confirm when your information has been removed.
Anonymous usage events collected via PostHog are retained in accordance with PostHog's standard data retention policies. Because these events contain no personally identifiable information, they cannot be linked to any individual user and are not subject to individual deletion requests.
With respect to site and waitlist data held by Sela, you have the right to:
With respect to app data stored on your device, you have complete control. You may delete all locally stored app data at any time using the in-app data reset function, or by clearing your browser's local storage for getsela.app. Sela cannot access, retrieve, or restore locally stored data on your behalf.

The Sela app is designed for use by adults in the capacity of family caregivers. Sela is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to Sela, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action to remove that information.
Sela is an organizational and care coordination tool for family caregivers. It is not a medical device, clinical application, or covered health care provider as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"). Sela does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Because Sela does not transmit, receive, or maintain protected health information ("PHI") on any server or in any electronic health record system, Sela is not subject to HIPAA's privacy or security rules in connection with the app's free tier.
Note regarding future paid tiers: When Sela introduces cloud backup and sync features (planned for the Plus tier), the collection and storage of health-related data on Sela's servers may change the applicable legal and compliance framework. This Privacy Policy will be updated prior to the launch of any cloud-storage features to reflect those changes, and users will be notified before any cloud transmission of their data occurs.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the date of the most recent revision.
For material changes — particularly changes that expand the categories of data we collect or the ways in which we use or share data — we will provide notice via the Site and, where applicable, by email to waitlist registrants, prior to the changes taking effect. Your continued use of the Site or App after the effective date of any updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
